Smart Multimedia Manager (SMM) is a management software used for IP-PBX (SIP server features included) MCU devices in the next-generation multimedia telephony solutions of AddPac Technology. A multimedia solution based on IPv4/v6 multimedia Telephony Provision Platform (ITPP) of AddPac is a next-generation multimedia telephony solution configured with an IP-PBX, a VoIP gateway (analog and digital E1/T1), a media gateway (digital E1/T1), video MCU devices, traffic controllers, high quality IP video phones, and IP phones.
SMM is software supporting the user management, device management, various call management, conference call management, event and trace monitoring, and powerful debugging of IP-PBX in PC platform environments based on MS Windows.
User and Group Management
Smart Multimedia Manager allows only a registered manager to log into either IP-PBX or a MCU device. A user can be registered with each group or organization. User profiles can include the user name, user ID, password, and pin number. The extension number of a user can be registered as the user¡¯s phone number.
Device Management
Smart Multimedia Manager allows you to access IP-PBX and to register a device in operation. SMM provides several information fields such as the name, type, model name, status details, IP address, registration type (e.g. static and dynamic), extension number, and description of the device. This feature allows you to manage gatekeepers, audio/video Multipoint Conference Units (MCUs), IP multimedia terminals, and an organization for a device registration tree structure. IP multimedia terminals that can be managed include VoIP gateway series (e.g. 1-port to 256-port VoIP gateways: AP190, AP200, AP1100, AP2650, and AP6800), IP phone series (e.g. AP-IP200 and AP-IP300), and IP video phones (e.g. AP-VP300 and AP-VP200), and IP video gateways (e.g. AP-VG1000 and AP-VG2000) of AddPac. The Device Status field is categorized into Unknown, Registered, and Unregistered.
